Orton Bradley Park

All walking tracks are currently closed for Lambing and will re-open 8th October 2016.

Orton Bradley Park is a private 650ha rural property situated on the southern shores of Lyttelton Harbour open 365 days a year. We are a fantastic family friendly location, with large open spaces, fantastic sunsets, and park like settings.

We are 25 minutes from Christchurch and 45 minutes from Christchurch airport, just 10 minutes off the road to Akaroa. The picnic and camping area are situated in a sheltered setting surrounded by pastoral farming, amenity plantations, including arboretum, extensive rhododendron garden, and native forest.

There are 15 km of walking tracks winding their way through the property, with the ability to link up to the track up Mt Herbert (the highest point on Banks Peninsula) and around to crater rim to Akaroa.

We are situated next to a stunning 9 hole golf course and have tennis courts nearby. The property has a large children's adventure playground, with flying foxes, that is situated next to a small stream, and we also have a number of short mountain bike tracks suitable for all members of the family. The park is the perfect location for family picnics, birthday parties, school camps and wedding functions.

We cater to campervans and caravans all year. Between December 26th and February 6th we host tent camping as well - when we have kitchen facilities and hot showers available.
